                        WJR Radio Station
WJR is a radio station that is in Detroit, Michigan, and the format of the radio station is a news/talk station. It is a class A radio station that can be heard throughout the eastern half of North America at night. It is also one of the most popular radio station in the United States. It began as WCX on May, 4, 1922 owned by the Detroit Free Press. In 1925 WCX was bought by the Jewett Radio and Phonography Company in Pontiac, Michigan. Sometime after that it became known as WJR. In 2005 WJR signed a five year contract with the Michigan State Spartan . They raise an estimated amount of 250 million a year.
